22 years of client work. A 13-year enterprise engagement. A SaaS product at 300+ clients worldwide — built entirely in-house. Here's what that actually looks like.
Westinghouse needed to modernize internal collaboration technology — moving from Lotus Notes through hosted SharePoint and into the Office 365 cloud. McKula planned, developed, and deployed solutions at every stage, migrating them forward rather than starting over.
Brought in to complete and support a stalled SharePoint proposal management platform — McKula delivered layered role-based permissions, document review workflows, Power BI oversight reports, and automated site provisioning. Then migrated it to Office 365. Now rebuilding it for Teams.
Built from scratch in 2003 for University of Pittsburgh Resident Life, Incident Tracker grew organically through the Resident Life circuit and then expanded into new markets — entirely through word of mouth. No outside development. No outside support. Every line of code, in-house.
A complex CAPEX approval workflow trapped in aging Lotus Notes — rebuilt on Power Platform and deployed to the cloud in two months. Fenner Dunlop found McKula specifically for the rare combination: deep expertise in the legacy system they were leaving and the modern platform they were moving to.
PNC Bank needed to migrate a large portfolio of IBM-based databases into modern Microsoft architecture — and ensure their own development teams could own it afterward. McKula provided the expert consultation to deploy 30+ applications and the hands-on training to make PNC's Run and Change teams fully self-sufficient on the new platform.
ClanWars.cc — a grassroots competitive league platform built by McKula — caught the attention of Electronic Arts in 2003. What followed was a formal partnership: EA sponsorship, a presentation at their LA studio, and integration of the ClanWars ladder system into multiple AAA titles including Command & Conquer and The Lord of the Rings series. The relationships that followed opened doors to Petroglyph Games, Relic Entertainment, and beyond.
